Havsörn - Sea Eagle

Jag var ute tidigt i morse för att få se vad som fanns i skyn. 3 havsörnar blev resultatet. Inte så tokigt, eller?
I was out early this morning to see what the sky would bring me. 3 Sea Eagles, not too bad, or what do you think?

What I would give to be able to see a sight like that when I go out in the morning! (It's dark when I leave in the mornings now, and dark when I get home, boohoo!)

ReplyDeletedet är så häftigt att se havsörnarna segla i skyn! Ser ett par stycken nästan dagligen och även om de ibland kommer rätt nära så har jag ingen kamera som kan göra dem rättvisa, njuter av bilden på min näthinna

Beautiful! My university has a veterinary school. One of their specialties is eagle rescue and rehabilitation. Part of the tradition at the university is to have "War Eagle" circle the football stadium and landing on the field before games. There are actually 4 eagles who take turns doing this. Our eagles have been used for the Olympic Games during the opening ceremonies. It's spectacular to watch these magnificent birds. It's sad that these beauties are unable (for various reasons) to live within their natural habitat, but the university has done everything they can to recreate it...with safety measures...so that the birds can fly.
